Best of 2008

December 24, 2008 | Category: Music, Soul

So here is a little update for the end of 2008! It’s been a rollercoaster.
A few less gigs than usual, but those I’ve played have been some of the most enjoyable ever – and each has had some of my closest friends in the room. Friends has been an important theme for 08 and I’ve learnt a lot about ‘agendas’ – and I’ve ended the year closest to the people I love. Here’s hoping that inspires some new songs!

Here are some little lists to inspire you…

Most Played Songs

1. Pinback – Penelope

2. Barcelona – Get up, Get up, Get up.

3. Tycho – The Daydream

4. Mutemath – Spotlight

just outside the top 4… Adam Again – Dig /

Most Played Albums

1. Mutemath – Mutemath
2. Barcelona – Absolutes
3. Duke Special – Songs from the Deep Forest

I don’t know how I would have got through this year without the musical recommendations of Scot and Jakub at Iso50. Thanks guys. Check out their top ten list here.

Hero of the year

Mr Balz Kubli

And what a strange years it was! A year when I found myself by leaving not joining. A year when I found my friends by walking away. A year when I found my companions were there all along. And a year that started poor-ly and ended rich-ly.
